But because I want you to understand that Mitt Romney wants to treat this country like a business. This country isn’t a company. It’s a community. An overly large community that needs to be accepted for the amount of diversity it holds. It needs a leader that accepts that women, minorities, and the lower class are what build and create a majority of this country. We don’t need a leader who didn’t see the point in pulling out of the war. We don’t need a leader who will punish the children of immigrants by not allowing them to get an education. We certainly don’t need a leader who doesn’t believe in women having a choice of their own bodies.
So yes. Reblog and share this post on here and on other social networking sites.
People in swing states need to know what’s at stake with this election.

i know a lot of people don’t think obama achieved much in his term, but i would much rather have someone who can speak publicly about this kind of stuff than not. really cool.
plus, the republican candidates are a bunch of bafoons. and i’m not just saying that. they literally are crazy.
It angers me that a lot of people in this community decided to vote for the Republican party during the midterm elections in order to “get back” at President Obama because he hadn’t passed gay marriage federally.

Don’t try to tell me that my President doesn’t care about our community. Representative Nancy Pelosi who was one of the highest women and LGBT allies in his administration lost her position during the midterm elections because people decided to punish President Obama. By doing that you’ve proceeded to put the exact people in charge who don’t want to give the LGBT community in charge. And what have they done? Blocked and prevented President Obama from doing other things in this country. As a matter of fact every single Republican candidate right now that’s running for President has said that they will repeal DADT as soon as they get into office.
I’m voting for President Obama again in November because I believe in creating progress and equality for our community.

CHATTANOOGA — Ninety-six-year-old Dorothy Cooper has been voting for about as long as she can remember.
That’s why she was eager to get a photo identification card when she heard it would be required for the next election.
But Cooper was denied the card on Monday at the state driver’s license center, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. That’s because the name on her birth certificate did not match her married name and she did not have her marriage certificate.
Asked about the problem, Hamilton County’s administrator of elections recommended Cooper vote with an absentee ballot so she wouldn’t have to stand in line with her walker again. Absentee ballots don’t require photo ID. […]

You are flawless. We’ve gone from 44.5 to 45.5 (with some little steps back in the middle of it) in two hours. I’ve never seen such a bunch of organized motherfuckers in my life.
The facts: The script may or may not be down. There are reasons to think it’s down, and reasons to think it’s still there. The only way to find out is trying to reach 50% (or 49%, since that was the percentage that always set us back).
The good news: We are going up like yeah. We may be taking some tiny steps back now and then, but we are definetely going up. Those little steps back are normal: Remember that Naley has a big fandom, and we have other elements voting against us, but they are not as many as they’d like to believe. We’ve been barely active for the last day and they only got us to 44.5. When Polivia stopped fighting we took them down do 39 in less than a day and that with no script.The bad news: Not gonna lie, duckies, we could get all the way up there to be kicked back again. But the round ends tomorrow, and I don’t want to regret later not having tried one last time when I got the chance. Now is the time to find out if that script is still there.

Letting the GOP/Tea Party take over our country would mean less rights for women, minorities, and the LGBT community. More tax breaks for the wealthy and less for the middle and lower class.
I’m a little upset with the LGBT community when they say that President Obama hasn’t done anything for our community. Sure….he put up the stay on DADT. But have you realized the other things that he HAS done for us?
