Oh Marsha Ambrosius.

Your entire debut video is about bullying, homosexuality, and suicide? Knowing that it’s a sensitive, non-spoken about topic in the black/African American community?

Oh yeah.

You’ve definitely made Wife status.

I honestly like Tracy Morgan.

I forgave him after his original apology. I knew that this was just a moment of ignorance. He said something ignorant. Learned from it. Apologized. The end. I can’t really ask for more than that.

But what I didn’t really get is the number of black comedians or journalists, who were black, who were jumping up defend him so quickly.

They wanted to to make it seem like it was a racial thing that people were so quick to hate on Morgan. That wasn’t the case at all. Roland Martin was instantly saying that yeah it wasn’t okay to say that, but that people shouldn’t be so offended by what Morgan was saying. The kind of words that Morgan said, shouldn’t have been defended in the least bit.

Of course the people that were defending him were denying their straight privilege to begin with. They tried to make it seem as though threatening gays wasn’t as bad as using racial slurs. Truth of the matter is, they’re both equally horrible things.

If anything I must say that this finally spread some light on the problems that people of color face in their community when it comes to being homosexual.

I guess I can thank them for that.

beautiful

I hate reblogging religious posts

but this is who my God is

^

God is never homphobic, I mean like, He’s fair and just, He gave us free will and still He loves us whatever we are. :)

God hating people is like hating himself.

This is like the 6th time I have reblogged this.  I will continue to reblog this.

I actually had an idea like this a while ago… beautiful :)

This is lovely

tears.

I love this. It is so beautiful. <3

Gay Adoption Ad

Hahaha guy on the left.

I can’t believe people would actually believe that people choose to be homosexual.

As if I woke up one morning and thought, “Today I’ll begin the often times confusing, ridiculed, painful journey of being a homosexual.”

No. I didn’t fucking choose this.

People think you can pray away the gay.

No. You can’t. I know this because I fucking tried.

Coming from a family with “Every Sunday” church goers….I have pastors in my family. I have church choir leaders and directors in my family.

I was the fucking winner of the “Christian Citizenship” award.

I didn’t choose that and I didn’t choose this.

Why would I want to choose to spend my entire middle school and high school time in pain? Being suicidal for YEARS over something because I can’t pray for it to go away and I can’t choose something else is not something I decided to do.

It just happened.

It’s funny because the way that kind of stuff is talked about on blogs is so black-and-white…It’s all cut-and-dry identity politics. ‘Is he straight or is he gay?’ Or, ‘This is your third gay movie — come out already!’ And all based on, gay or straight, based on the idea that your object of affection decides your sexuality… There are lots of other reasons to be interested in gay characters than wanting myself to go out and have sex with guys. And there are also lots of other aspects about these characters that I’m interested in, in addition to their sexuality. So, in some ways it’s coincidental, in other ways it’s not. I mean, I’ve played a gay man who’s living in the ’60s and ’70s, a gay man who we depicted in the ‘50s, and one being in the ‘20s. And those were all periods when to be gay, at least being gay in public, was much more difficult. Part of what I’m interested in is how these people who were living anti-normative lifestyles contended with opposition. Or, you know what, maybe I’m just gay.

You can’t stop homosexuality…sure you can disagree on it…but at the end of the day…it’s pointless. That’s like someone coming up to me and telling me,”Hey. You’re black. And I want you to be white like me…so I’m going to make sure you don’t get to have any rights.” What kind of logic is that?

Some…one…stop…the homosexual…agenda…they just want happiness…AND I CAN’T LET THEM HAVE IT.

The only time I’d have a problem with gay guys, is if I went into my kitchen for some cereal, opened my cabinets and got the box out, then went to my fridge for the milk, opened the fridge and found two guys going at it right next to my milk.
